Toyota warning light meanings
It can be unsettling to see a light pop up on your dashboard, especially when you have no idea what it means. ABS warning light
Switches on if there has been a malfunction in the ABS or Brake Assist System.
Charging system warning light
Shows up if the vehicle’s charging system is having a malfunction.
Cruise control indicator
Lights up with the cruise control has been activated
Electric Power Steering (EPS) warning light
Warns about a malfunction in the EPS system
Indicates the headlights have been switched on.
High-beam headlight indicator
Let’s the driver know the high beam has been activated.
Low engine oil pressure warning light
When the oil pressure is too low, this light will alert the driver to fill up soon.
Low fuel level warning light
While the amount will depend on the vehicle, this light will indicate when the fuel level is low.
Low washer fluid warning light
Lights up when there is a low-level of washer fluid.
Maintenance required reminder light
This light illuminates when your vehicle has reached a point in the maintenance schedule to have a tune-up.
If any of your tires slip, this light will flash to let you know.
SRS airbag on-off indicator
This indicator illuminates to advise the driver or passenger of the SRS airbag status.
SRS warning light
This light signals when there has been a malfunction in the front passenger occupant classification system, SRS airbag system or the seatbelt pretensioner system.
Tire pressure warning light
This light turns on when you have low pressure in one of your tires.
TRAC OFF indicator
This indicates if TRAC is off. You will want the TRAC system off if you find yourself stuck in fresh snow or mud.
Turn signal indicator
These signal whether the left or right light has been activated.
VSC OFF indicator
This light often turns on when the “engine start stop” switch is turned to “ignition on” mode. They usually turn off after the engine has started. The light will flash when the system is operating.
