Social distancing in the fall
The outdoors is beautiful this time of year as the leaves change. While 2020 is a little different on how we can enjoy fall, there are still ways to social distance and still, have fun. Keep reading to find some ideas on how you can go out and enjoy fall without the crowds.
Go for a hike
Immerse yourself outside by going hiking. This way you can get an up-close view of the changing leaves. Some good places to go hiking include Tot Park, Badger Hills Trailhead and Natividad Creek Park.
Find a local pumpkin patch
Get your jack-o-lantern supplies from a local pumpkin patch! Some patches we suggest checking out include Borchard Farms, Young Life Pumpkin Patch and the Farm in Salinas.
Walk outside and purchase some fruits and produce from local farmers. Fill up on ready to eat foods from vendors. Other goodies you can find at the Salinas Farmers Market include artisan bread, crafts, plants and more!
Head over to apple orchards and pick some apples. Once you have enough you can make yummy foods like applesauce, apple pie and apple cake. You can try your hand at making apple cider as well! Some apple orchards we suggest include Clearview Orchards, Borchard Farms and the Farm in Salinas.
