Instructions on how to jump start the 2020 Highlander Hybrid
We can all agree that no one is perfect. While it might take a lot to drain your battery in your 2020 Toyota Highlander, it still can happen. We have created a step-by-step guide on how to jump start the 2020 Toyota Highlander.
Before you try to jumpstart your Highlander Hybrid, make sure you have your key fob in your pocket and you have a set of jumper cables.
Once you have everything you need, open the hood and fuse box cover.
In the exclusive jump-starting terminal, connect the positive jumper cable clamp to your vehicle. Then connect the other positive end to the second vehicle. Connect the negative to the second vehicle and the negative on your vehicle’s end to a stationary, unpainted metallic point away from any moving parts.
Once everything is connected, start the engine of the second vehicle and slightly increase the engine speed. Keep this engine speed for five minutes to recharge your vehicle.
When you’ve had the second vehicle running for 5 minutes, it’s time to test out your Toyota Highlander. Make sure all your doors are shut, before you do anything. Once everything is secure, maintain the same speed in the second vehicle and turn the power switch to on. Check to see if the “READY” indicator comes on.
Disconnect your jumper cables in the opposite order once the hybrid system has started.
Close everything up and you’re good to go.
If something still seems off, make sure to get your Highlander Hybrid checked out.
