That, however, can be upgraded with the available i-FORCE MAX powertrain to boost the strength up to 437 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft of torque. That powertrain and its strong build allow for a maximum payload capacity of 1,940 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of up to 12,000 pounds when properly equipped.

The 2022 Tundra is built on a new chassis and has a new high-strength steel-ladder frame and a reconfigured multi-link rear suspension.
