Four-Wheel Drive options
For the 2018 model year, the Toyota 4Runner offers rear-wheel drive (RWD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) drivetrain configurations across its lineup. While there is no all-wheel-drive (AWD) option, Toyota’s Part-Time 4WD systems offer an efficient and capable solution for 4Runner drivers. The first of three drivetrain options is a RWD setup with Automatic Limited-Slip Differential (LSD). This configuration is available on the SR5, SR5 Premium, and Limited trim levels. The next option is a Part-Time 4WD configuration with Active Traction Control (A-TRAC). This is an option at the SR5, SR5 Premium, TRD Off-Road, TRD, Off-Road Premium, and the TRD Pro trim levels. The 2018 Toyota 4Runner Limited also offers an available Full-Time 4WD configuration with A-Trac and Torsen® limited-slip center differential with locking feature. Whether you’re driving the kids to soccer practice after school or you want to hit the off-road trails for some high-intensity driving, there is a 2018 4Runner that can handle it!
