2019 Toyota Corolla engine options

There are a couple of different available engines for the 2019 Corolla. The base motor is a 1.8-liter inline-four-cylinder engine powered by 132 horses. This option is found on the base trim as well as the LE, SE, XLE, and XSE trims. The only other engine option is the same size as the base engine, but it has 140 horsepower and is the Corolla’s eco-boost engine. This is found only on the LE ECO trim level and it is designed for drivers who want to maximize their fuel economy. No matter what trim level you choose, you will get front-wheel drive and a two-speed continuously variable transmission.

How efficient is the 2019 Toyota Corolla?

We can’t talk about engine performance without getting into the fuel economy. Many drivers put gas mileage at the top of their priority list, and if you’re one of them, you will like what you’re about to read. The non-eco-boost engine contributes to 36 highway MPG and 28 city MPG. The eco-boost engine, meanwhile, averages up to 40 highway MPG and 30 city MPG.
